Proposal – We were taking a family trip to Disneyland. Kyles’s entire family in tow; packed up a van with his parents, his sister, her boyfriend, their daughter, & ourselves with the girls. We rented a beautiful house close enough to walk to Disneyland. We spent the next day celebrating our favorite place completely covered in all things Christmas related. And all of our closest friends met up with us to spend the day together. We spent the day watching parades & going on rides. After getting slightly irritated we stopped for dinner. I thought it was just due to being hangry and tired; little did I know that kyle was upset because all of the places that he wanted to propose were completely blocked off. There was a Disney special being filmed that day which blocked the castle view & the wishing well. After eating everyone met in front of It’s a Small World. I was last to walk up after going to change as it was getting dark and cold. As I walked up everyone had this excited and slightly scheming look on their face. We took a few family photos & kyle asked to get one of just us. He whispered in my ear how much he loved me, kissed me, & got down on one knee. I thought he was going to tie his shoe and tried to get him up. (Literally thought he was fucking with me). Then he pulled out the most perfect ring. And I cried, nodded yes, and he embraced me. It was the most perfect moment, with the most perfect people, in the most perfect place. We watched the fireworks show & let the snowfall on our perfect evening.

It’s crazy how life works out. It seems like forever ago I was friends with Tory online through a mutual friend. Who would have known we would reconnect over the knot while she was looking for a wedding photographer. What an honor to reconnect a friendship, get filled in on her journey to meeting kyle and getting to know both of them so well during the process. Their wedding day/watching them bond together forever was one of the best gifts I could have been given in 2019. It gave me faith in love and perseverance again.
