Kaylyn + Gavin Wedding At Casa De Shenandoah

Kaylyn contacted me almost a month out from her wedding date, I was like why did this girl wait so long to hire someone?! They had an awesome venue and the best hair person (Shelbie Holbert) and I guess I was just the perfect missing piece. Before the wedding date we met and I instantly fell in love with her and Gavin. They were literally my kind of people to the core! We did a venue walk together and laughed telling stories on how they met at a drift car fabrication shop. (Because they both love cars) But Gavin was too nervous to ask her out so he messaged her on Instagram and Kaylyn lead the poor guy on for two weeks before agreeing to hang out! Obviously it worked since they have been together for 2 1/2 years and got married in the end!

They chose a color palette of dusty rose, grey and natural greens. Kaylyn wore the most stunning and delicate half-sleeved gown with the most beautiful train paired with some adorable rose gold sandals. Side note, I love when the bridesmaids dresses all match in color but they are all different styles. It lets everyones personalities shine just a little!

Driving to the venue the day of it started sprinkling, I was like oh no! Please hold up. What are the odds it actually rains in Vegas anyways? Well, I was WRONG. It rained on and off just enough to let us get in all of our bridal pictures before hanging out inside the mansion hiding Kaylyn until the ceremony started. We took full advantage of all the beautiful furnishings Wayne Newtons old home had to offer.

Gavin and Katelyn kicked off the party with a grand entrance including all of their bridesmaids and groomsmen + Jr bridal party. We had a lot of laughing and some tears shed during speeches. You can always tell how loved the couple is when 5+ people volunteer to speak on their behalf as a testament to their love. My favorite was listening to the advice of Kaylyn’s dad on making sacrifices for love and making a marriage last for 25+ years.

I actually loved the gloominess of the day because the pictures all turned out so amazing. Plus it kept us all on our toes, we had to work together and fast. Honestly, Kaylyn was so calm given the circumstances of it raining on your wedding day which is every brides nightmare. But apparently its goodluck?! According to google – “In some cultures, rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, symbolizing fertility and cleansing.”

I Just want to wish Kaylyn and Gavin all the best in their future together as husband and wife. I know that this life will lead you both on many more beautiful nature packed adventures!
