Proposal Story – He proposed to me on an Amtrak train headed to Albuquerque, NM, where my family lives. We were headed there for Christmas. Once we boarded, I was getting settled into our little room with my back towards Jared. Jared then got on one knee, asked me to turn around and then he popped the question! I was super surprised! It was just the two of us and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. We got to soak it all in private before spending the holidays with family and sharing the good news. Once several people on the train found out about the engagement, they wanted to celebrate with us and did so by buying drinks and shots! Needless to say, it was the best train ride ever!

Out of all the weddings I missed while on maternity leave, this one is at the top of my list for sadness. I had such a bond with Jaymie during the entire planning process and I can’t wait until they come back to Vegas again, so we can finally meet in person and maybe even do a photo session to get another chance to work together after a few other plans fell through!
