“James is NOT a massive gesture / PDA kind of guy so I (Jamie) knew it wouldn’t be anything super romantic because I’d instantly know he was up to something. It was a month before Christmas in 2018 and James said he was buying something for me but he was going to use his Dad’s Credit Card because he knew I’d see it on our bank statement. I just assumed it was a Christmas present so I didn’t think anything of it.

Then a week or so later I got home from work on a Monday night and James said ‘I got you something turn around and close your eyes’. So I turn around and he’s holding up an NBA Jersey in my size (see back to one of his hobbies!) and his had ‘WOLLEY’ printed on the back of it (which is his surname).

It honestly took me a good while to click that he was proposing until he said ‘So do you want to go to Vegas?’. HAHAHAHA. It was so ‘him’ and I wouldn’t have expected any different.

They have been together for 8 years before they officially tied the knot with Elvis as their officiant 10,000KM away from their New Zeland home. With a ton of friends and a few members of their family. We bar hopped, showed them art district and took some fun pics to get James out of his shell! They left Vegas with 3 other couples and shared their honeymoon aka “holiday” with their friends for over a week!
