Proposal Story – On September 6, 2019 my whole family went on a trip to Hawaii for my Grandparents 50th Anniversary. Although my grandparents weren’t on the trip because of health reasons, we still tried to make the best out of it. We decided to go to Polynesian Cultural Center. Throughout the whole day, we enjoyed all the events in the Polynesian center. After the Luau, we were told to go by the water fountain to take a photo. Russel told me close my eyes and when I opened them, he was on one knee asking me, “Gabby Will You Marry Me?” I SAID YES! My whole family started cheering. I was so thrilled and filled with emotion. I was so happy my family got to experience this amazing moment with us. I wasn’t going to cry but when I saw my mom tearing up, I started crying. It was a moment to remember!

You may recognize these babes from their engagement session at the dry lakebed with their pup. I love when I am able to walk a couple through the full process. COVID let up just in time for them to have the larger event that they originally planned. They stuck to their guns through and through even when we had a massive windstorm in that was supposed to whip them out during their outside ceremony. Talk about resilience because everything went pretty perfectly! The pool setup in the middle of October was a pleasant surprise and gave us some killer views. We ended our night dancing away in the ballroom. The couple’s family who couldn’t make it shared pre recorded videos and got some genuine reaction from both of them. Also – I love the relationships their moms have with one another! Gabby got me with the first look between her and her father who was her coach and biggest fan while she played basketball through highschool – college. As always – have to thank our service members for their time, Russell is amazing.
